1. Introduction

The document aims to analyze the ‘No Resource’ problem encountered during the use of NVR based on the local monitor side, and provide potential solutions.

2. Cause & Solutions

2.1 Cause

“No Resource” is displayed because the maximum decoding capacity is exceeded. 

2.2 Solutions

1. Enable and play the secondary stream and make sure the video codec is not mjpeg. 

2.Decrease the cameras’ resolution and bit rate. 

3.Configure the camera as recommended in the table below. 

4.Shift layout.

If applying multiple screen channel layouts (4/9/16...screens layout) and one or more channels shows 'No Resource', you can enable the secondary stream, then switch to other layouts such as single screen, and then switch back to the original screen layout, and the cameras will be played normally, this is because some cameras are automatically switched to the secondary stream so that will not exceed the maximum decoding capacity.
